Vascular Twin®

A generic case teaches technique. A patient-specific case teaches that patient — before they are on the table.

The virtual twin

From image to case
in five steps.

Segmentation takes place on the workstation the team already knows. From there the path is short.

01

Segmentation on the existing workstation

Siemens, Philips and Canon imaging systems are supported.

02

Export as .STL

Standard format — no lock-in to a single tool.

03

Import into Case-It on an appropriate template

Even when the dataset covers only part of the anatomy.

04

Assembly in four to eight clicks

The template and the imported anatomy are joined into a complete vascular path.

05

Export to the VIST® platform

The case is ready for rehearsal — using the same devices that will be used.

READY CASE

For structural heart disease the workflow goes through Cardiac Sculptor: the DICOM dataset is imported, the leaflets are aligned against the template and the case is exported to VIST®.

The physical twin

Or the same anatomy,
but one you can hold.

The segmented anatomy goes to Mentice and returns as a ready-to-use silicone or 3D-printed vessel. The same patient, this time as a physical object — for flow, for contrast, for true device deployment.

WHEN IT IS WORTH IT

  • Introducing a new device and training for a specific model
  • New procedures and techniques before the first patient
  • Team scenarios under pressure
  • Reducing radiation exposure
  • Development work and preclinical testing
  • Pre-procedural rehearsal and planning

The data on this page follows the published product information from Mentice. Detailed technical specifications for a specific configuration are available on request.

Independent assessment

Patient-specific rehearsal makes sense where complex cases are performed. We clarify whether that applies to you before the proposal.

To the needs assessment

Try it with your own case.

Bring a DICOM dataset from your archive — we walk through the entire path to a finished anatomy.
